As the SMA Alliance moves forward in conjunction with the support of our physician partners in Southern Medical Association, we are excited about our new focus in health care – Healthy Lifestyles. This new “umbrella” allows more opportunity within communities for us to expand our efforts in health care in order to be more effective. We will continue our efforts towards Osteoporosis, Breast Cancer Awareness, and Heart Health in Women.  In addition, we will continue our long established goal of  medical heritage preservation and the celebrating of  Doctors’ Day, by honoring our physicians on March 30th.

We are in the process of developing a new website which will provide more opportunity for us to grow as a community of physician spouses working together to make a difference in our communities, in our states and in the country as a whole. Together our voices and efforts can make a difference and our new website will provide the tools to make this happen. The tentative launch date is April 1st.
